There is no doubt in this preacher's mind that there will be a need to be frank and honest about ourselves if we are to grow spiritually in Christ. Skeletons in the closet are just anchors to a past that Jesus has delivered us from. Naming them, and being open about them, gives us the opportunity to share in testimony, authenticate in commitment and to share fully in the releasing and renewing power of Christ who saves us. The enormity of His work, and the assurance that all things will be turned to good as we understand the depth of His love for us. Lay past things aside and walk forward into a dawn of Kingdom expectation, to His glory in Heaven, amen. This is not easy. As you can see from the date, the doubt, fear, self loathing and condemnation have lingered for over six weeks. Forgive me, Lord, and thank You for showing me the way. Amen.
