Moved to teach on that most foundational and fundamental of subjects, God's Law. We want the anointing and the refreshing; the protection and the providence; but what are we prepared to do in return?

All things are equal, right? Like these two words mean the same thing? Wrong and wrong. And whilst one is sending many people to Hell, the other is the 'peace like a river' that might just save your life, Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, Atheist, Scientist or Jew. Whatever. It's in the Great Commission, right? 'Go out into all the world and make disciples of all nations.' What, now? Who, me? Am I fit? What do I say? Take a leaf out of this preacher's book and just declare it. The time is getting shorter by the day, hour, second, year. People are dying in their sin. If not YOU, then who? A bit of a crossover from our sister site awordfortheworld.net, normal service will be resumed. All glory to God. There is no doubt in this preacher's mind that there will be a need to be frank and honest about ourselves if we are to grow spiritually in Christ. Skeletons in the closet are just anchors to a past that Jesus has delivered us from. Naming them, and being open about them, gives us the opportunity to share in testimony, authenticate in commitment and to share fully in the releasing and renewing power of Christ who saves us. The enormity of His work, and the assurance that all things will be turned to good as we understand the depth of His love for us. Lay past things aside and walk forward into a dawn of Kingdom expectation, to His glory in Heaven, amen. This is not easy. As you can see from the date, the doubt, fear, self loathing and condemnation have lingered for over six weeks. Forgive me, Lord, and thank You for showing me the way. Amen. |
