We don't always record the street preaching undertaken by the Carpe Crucis team, but here an example from Auckland, New Zealand's CBD. For the glory of God.
With a frank admission of feeling out of his depth, our preacher presses on with heartfelt prayer to the Holy Spirit to be his guide and comfort. The epic nature of Abraham's journey reflects God's delight at being on the road Himself, jouneying with the one they first called, 'the Friend of God.'
I wore a T shirt under my shirt that read, "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." This, of course, essentially is untrue. Any journey begins with a plan and an intention. I have felt moved to begin a journey through the Bible from the Fall to the Coming of Christ and beyond, to prayerfully expose the crimson thread that runs through all ages, God's plan for salvation. This, then is the first step, from Eden to Babel. I am not particularly well qualified to preach on this, but sometimes that is also part of the journey. May the Lord, the good Lord, lead and guide through His Holy Spirit, in Jesus's mighty name. Amen.
Michael Robert Jackson was baptised in the name of Jesus in 2012, after a forty year walk in the wilderness, ten years after he first came to Christ. He is the least of God's children.
