We are commissioned to go out to the ends of the earth to make disciples of all nations. How far are we going? How effective are we being? How well are we being received? For Jesus and the disciples Samaria offered a world away from home, right on their doorstep.

Never being thirsty again. The satisfaction of every questing soul. It really is true that Jesus is the answer to every question. Here an opening on His encounter with a Samaritan woman at the well of Jacob. Jesus heads north to a place of abundant water, away from the plotting of the Jewish establishment. John the Baptist shows a humility unheard of in the modern church. It is a privilege to preach the gospel. It is a privilege to preach on these verses. It is a privilege to walk and know our merciful and loving Father in Heaven. Wherever you are, whatever you do, consider this simple truth. You walk with God or against Him, how is it working out for you? |
